“Too Nice” is an anthem for anyone who’s had someone come back into their life when they’re trying to move on and get to a better place with themselves. It was written after chatting with a friend about how frustrating it is to feel like you’ve taken a step forward and then that certain someone decides to show up out of no where, and now you’re two steps back again. She said I should write a song about it, and the words flowed effortlessly. Andrew Chervak is an amazing producer that was able to see the attitude and sass that the song was written with, and have it shine through to the final track. I wrote it to get over toxic people in my life, and I hope it inspires people to say the things deserve to be heard in tough times. Being the bigger person doesn’t always mean that you have to be “too nice”, and I think that this song has really taught me that.
